The R/C Museum, Trichur is the proud Sponsor and Care Taker of the "Gnat Memorial Museum" which is located at the Nehru Bal Bhavan , Thrissur. Parked in front of the building is a full size Gnat/Ajat Aircraft obtained from the Air Ministry, Government of India.
We have undertaken to lovingly restore this lovely aircraft back to flying condition and make available related exhibits that will tell the saga of this great aircraft and the valiant IAF pilots who flew it to victory in the 1965 conflict.
The project is expected to be completed in 2010.
This is a Joint venture with the Corporation of Thrissur, Office of the District Collector and the Defence Ministry
